On behalf of our client in the Lower Mainland, TRS Contract Consulting Group is looking for a Java Developer for a six month contract opportunity.


Deliverables

Design, document, develop and unit test.
Implement assigned development and unit testing tasks as per design document and schedule.
Participate in design and estimating tasks as directed by the Development Team Lead
Provide technical support for integrated testing as directed by the QA Team Lead in conjunction with the Development Team Lead.
Create and maintain project documentation
Technical Requirements:

5+ years of experience in Java Enterprise development, RDBMS design and modeling (Oracle), large-scale integration projects
Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in Java Spring (including declarative Spring transaction management) AJAX programming and Apache Wicket frameworks, Java Web Services (SOAP over http), Java XML processing (XPath, xsd, etc)
Expert in Java/database performance tuning and utilizing unit test automation (TestNG, JUnit)
Hands on experience of utilizing UML diagrams in software design documentation
Ability to quickly learn designated custom and third-party APIs/libraries
Extensive experience in object-oriented design and programming, software development life cycle, data modeling, data exchange and data load knowledge, as well as data migration analysis and data migration development
Experience with at least one version control system (StarTeam, SVN, CVS, VSS)
