On behalf of our client in the Lower Mainland, TRS Contract Consulting Group is looking for a Intermediate Java Developer for a six month contract opportunity.


Responsibilities:


Responsible for designing, writing, testing and documenting programs to meet product specifications
Troubleshooting problems in both a test and production environment while working in small to medium sized project teams with team leads and other developers

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science of technical diploma
Java certification an asset
Minimum of 3 years of UI experience, JSP, Javascript, Servlet, JSF, CSS
Minimum of 3 years of XML (XSL, XPath, DOM) experience
Minimum of 3 years of Java / J2EE experience
Minimum of 3 years of Oracle/SQL experience
Experience in software development life cycle, data modeling, data exchange and data load knowledge, as well as data migration analysis and data migration development
Experience with developing test cases
Knowledgeable in user interface design, database management systems, and PC operating systems
Works with minimal supervision with a good track record of meeting tight schedule commitments
Experience with at least one version control system
Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written
Superior customer interaction skills
Excellent teamwork skills
Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as required

Desired skills:


Experience with mochikit + velocity
Experience in aircraft maintenance will be considered an asset.
